Pregnancy does not make you a parent.
Not all those who birth are parents.
This baby has always been a stranger.
I care for you but I don’t know you.
Now, I feel different.
Watching her and looking at her.
Seeing how vulnerable she is and how much she needs us
I think that’s what making me bonded to her.
I can’t say I love her yet.
She’s still a stranger
but I would do anything
to protect this tiny child.
I may not be the right person to say this
but I think time, dedication, genuine hope for their health & happiness
of a child is what makes you a real parent.
This baby may have came from me but that’s not what makes me a mother.
I will become a mother with time.
