To the woman who looks in the mirror, looks down and pinches her belly;

the one who pulls back her waist to see what it would look like;

the one who sits on the bathroom floor crying wishing she had another body;

the one who pokes at her face picking apart her individual features;

the one who says “when I start going to the gym”;

the one looking at other women wishing “if I just looked like that”

If you looked like that then what? What we really want “when we get that body” isn’t the body it’s everything else we think that comes with it.. What we want is

to feel accepted;

to feel sexy;

to fit in;

to be free from judgement;

to feel beautiful;

to be loved.


I was that woman too.
